The Netherlands Student Orchestra is a nationwide project orchestra full of ambitious young students, who are engaged in classical music at a high level alongside their studies. Every year, the NSO gives concerts throughout the Netherlands around the month of February.
The young, driven Dutch Student Orchestra plays Hector Berlioz's grotesque work Symphonie Fantastique. In the commissioned composition ‘Ludus’, Karmit Fadael plays with the tensions, sensations and transcending feelings that are involved in playful love. On viola, Dana Zemtsov takes the spotlight with William Walton's extraordinary viola concerto. All under the direction of passionate conductor Chloe Rooke. This edition of the Dutch Student Orchestra consists of a month filled with endless ‘Madness’!
